Introduction:

The rectangle tichel, also known as a headscarf or head wrap, is a beautiful and versatile accessory. Not only does it effortlessly elevate any outfit, but it offers countless ways to be styled. In this article, we will explore 5 simple ways to tie a rectangle tichel that are both functional and fashionable.

1. The Classic Bun:

This technique is both easy and secure, making it perfect for beginners and those wanting a quick yet stylish look.

– Begin by folding the tichel in half width-wise.

– Place the folded side at the nape of your neck and drape the two ends over your shoulders.

– Cross the two ends over each other at your forehead.

– Twist the ends around each other several times and pull them back toward the nape of your neck.

– Secure the twisted ends under the base of the tichel to form a low bun.

2. The Twist-and-Drape:

For those looking to dress up their tichel with an elegant touch, try this sophisticated look.

– Start with the tichel folded in half width-wise.

– Place it over your head with one end shorter than the other.

– Twist the longer end several times to create a rope-like effect.

– Drape this twisted end across your forehead, pulling it around to rejoin the shorter end at the nape of your neck.

– Tie both ends together snugly at the base of your neck.

3. The Turban-style Knot:

Give off bohemian vibes with this chic and trendy knot.

– Fold the tichel into thirds or quarters lengthwise, depending on its size.

– Place it on your head with equal lengths on either side – leaving two long tails in front.

– Cross one tail over the other, pull them apart to tighten, then twist another full rotation.

– Tug each tail towards the opposite side of your head and tuck or tie them securely under the base of the tichel.

4. The Inverted V:

A simple yet modern look that’s perfect for those on-the-go.

– Fold your tichel width-wise, but only about in half or slightly less, leaving some fabric hanging down.

– Position it on your head with the folded edge across your forehead.

– Gather the two ends at the nape of your neck and tie them into a secure knot, allowing the excess fabric to cascade down your back.

5. The Side-Knot:

A fun and playful take on the classic tichel style.

– Begin by folding your tichel in half width-wise.

– Put it over your head so that one side is slightly longer than the other.

– Tie a knot over one shoulder with the two ends of the tichel.

– Wrap the longer end around the base of the knot and tuck it in, allowing any excess fabric to drape elegantly over your shoulder.

Conclusion:

With these 5 simple ways to tie a rectangle tichel, you can easily transform any outfit while expressing your personal style. Experiment with different fabrics, patterns, and colors to find combinations that suit you best. Happy wrapping!
