5 Best Fixes for Blu-Ray Player’s No Sound Issue on Android TV

Blu-Ray players have become a common accompaniment to Android TVs, offering high-definition video quality unsurpassed by typical streaming services. However, encountering a ‘no sound’ issue can be quite frustrating, especially when you’re looking forward to your favorite movie or show. If you are facing such a problem, here are the five best fixes to try:

1. Check the HDMI Connection: First and foremost, ensure that your HDMI cable is securely connected to both your Blu-Ray player and your Android TV. A loose connection can result in no sound or video. Try unplugging and replugging the cable from both ends. Also, check for any damage to the cable itself and replace it if necessary.

2. Adjust Audio Settings: Sometimes, the Blu-Ray player’s audio settings may not match your TV’s capabilities. Access the player’s settings menu, navigate to the audio settings, and make sure it is set to a compatible audio format for your TV. For optimal compatibility, set it to PCM/Stereo.

3. Update Software: Make sure that both your Android TV and Blu-Ray player are running on the latest software versions. Manufacturers often release updates that fix known bugs and issues which could include sound problems.

4. Verify TV’s Audio Settings: Just as you checked the Blu-Ray player’s settings, it’s also important to review your TV’s audio configurations. Ensure that the TV is not muted, that it is set to use external speakers (if you’re using them), and that other audio enhancements or modes that might conflict with normal sound output are disabled.

5. Reset Both Devices: If all else fails, sometimes a simple reset can get everything working again as it should. Turn off your TV and Blu-Ray player completely from power for at least one minute before turning them back on.

These fixes usually resolve any sound issues with Blu-Ray players on Android TVs. It’s always a good move to consult the user manuals for device-specific troubleshooting if these steps don’t solve the problem.
