Introduction:

Folding a shirt properly can save space, reduce wrinkles, and make your closet look neat and organized. Here are three easy methods to fold your shirts like a pro. Master these techniques, and your wardrobe will thank you!

1. The Basic Fold:

The basic fold is perfect for beginners and takes only a few seconds to accomplish.

Step 1: Lay the shirt face down on a flat surface with the top of the shirt facing you.

Step 2: Fold the right side of the shirt towards the center, aligning the sleeve with the edge of the collar.

Step 3: Fold the left side of the shirt inwards, just like you did with the right side.

Step 4: Fold the bottom of the shirt upwards until it meets the top edge of the collar.

Step 5: Flip your neatly folded shirt over.

2. The Military Roll Method:

The military roll is used by soldiers worldwide for its space-saving benefits and easy access in backpacks.

Step 1: Place your shirt face down on a flat surface.

Step 2: Fold both sleeves inward towards each other, creating a rectangular shape.

Step 3: Begin to roll your shirt tightly from the bottom edge to meet the collar. Ensure that there are no wrinkles as you roll.

Step 4: Once you’ve reached the collar, tuck any loose fabric under the roll for added security.

3. The Marie Kondo (KonMari) Method:

Marie Kondo’s folding technique has transformed many wardrobes with its space-saving capabilities and attractive appearance.

Step 1: Lay your shirt face up on a flat surface.

Step 2: Pinch both shoulders with one hand and then pinch halfway down one side with your other hand. Bring your hands together, flipping one corner over to create a long rectangle.

Step 3: Lay the shirt back down, and fold the sleeves over the rectangle to make a clean edge.

Step 4: Fold the shirt into thirds widthwise by folding one side of the rectangle over, followed by the other side.

Step 5: Finish by folding the shirt in half lengthwise, bringing the bottom edge up to meet the collar. Your shirt should now be able to stand up vertically.

Conclusion:

Mastering these three shirt folding techniques will save you space, reduce wrinkles, and create a neat and organized wardrobe. Try all three methods and find your preferred folding style. Happy folding!
