Introduction:

Graduation day is an important milestone, and you should look your best in your graduation gown. However, it’s common to find wrinkles on your gown when you take it out of the packaging or after storing it for a while. Here are three easy ways to get the wrinkles out of your graduation gown and ensure you look sharp for your big day.

1. Steaming:

A great way to remove wrinkles from any fabric, including a graduation gown, is to use steam. All you need is a steam iron or a fabric steamer

Instructions:

– Hang your gown on a hanger and hold it up vertically.

– Fill up the reservoir of the steam iron or fabric steamer with water.

– Turn on the steamer and allow it to heat up for a minute or two.

– Position the steamer approximately six inches away from the fabric and begin slowly moving it vertically along the length of the gown, ensuring not to stay too long in one spot as it may cause damage or moisture buildup.

– Allow the gown to air dry before wearing it.

2. Ironing:

If you don’t have access to a steamer, you can use an iron to get rid of those stubborn wrinkles from your graduation gown. Remember that different materials have different heat tolerances, so be sure to check the label instructions.

Instructions:

– Turn your graduation gown inside out.

– Set up an ironing board and adjust the iron temperature according to the gown’s fabric.

– Place a damp cloth or towel between the iron and your gown to help distribute heat evenly while protecting the fabric from scorching.

– Gently press down the iron on each section of the wrinkle until it comes straight, making sure not to leave it too long in one place.

3. Tumble Drying with Damp Towels:

Another effective and easy way to get wrinkles out of your graduation gown is by using a dryer with damp towels or a dryer with a wrinkle-release setting.

Instructions:

– Turn your graduation gown inside out.

– Place the gown into a dryer along with a couple of clean, damp towels or washcloths.

– Set the dryer to a low heat setting and tumble dry for approximately 15 minutes. The damp towels will create steam, helping to release the wrinkles.

– Check your gown periodically to monitor progress. Once you find that most of the wrinkles have been removed, take out the gown and hang it up to air dry.

Conclusion:

By following these simple tips on how to get wrinkles out of your graduation gown, you can ensure that you’ll look polished and well-prepared for your special day. Be sure to plan ahead and address any creases in advance so that you can focus on celebrating your achievements!
