The Greek salad, known in Greece as horiatiki salad, is a popular menu item worldwide. Typically made with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, olives, and feta cheese, seasoned with salt, oregano, and drizzled with olive oil, its refreshing taste has won over countless palates. Many restaurant chains have added their own twist to this classic dish. Here are 10 restaurant chains that serve the best Greek salads:

1. Daphne’s California Greek – Daphne’s offers a California-style Greek salad that includes fresh mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, olives, feta cheese, and their signature Greek dressing.

2. Zoes Kitchen – Zoes Kitchen serves a traditional Greek salad topped with generous chunks of grilled chicken. Their use of fresh ingredients and homemade dressing makes it shine.

3. Taziki’s Mediterranean Café- This café boasts a Mediterranean salad that follows the basic tenets of the Greek salad but adds roasted red peppers and offers a choice of protein toppings like grilled chicken or lamb.

4. The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill – The Great Greek lives up to its name with an authentic Greek salad brought to life by fresh produce and imported feta cheese.

5. Cava Grill – Cava Grill puts a contemporary twist on their Greek salad by letting you customize it with various dips and spreads such as hummus or tzatziki.

6. Panera Bread – Panera offers a Mediterranean quinoa salad with almonds that is inspired by the flavors of a traditional Greek salad.

7. Athenian Garden – This chain is known for sticking to tradition with its Greek salad prepared with vine-ripe tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, Kalamata olives, and capers.

8. Pita Jungle- Offering a “Wood-Fired Greek Salad,” Pita Jungle grills some of the ingredients to enhance their flavor profile while pairing perfectly with the handmade pita bread they serve on the side.

9. Olive Garden – While primarily known for Italian food, Olive Garden serves a “Famous House Salad” that can be customized to resemble a hearty Greek-style salad thanks to various available add-ons.

10. Roti Modern Mediterranean – Roti takes pride in its authentic approach to their salads including their take on the Greek salad which boasts bright flavors and perfectly grilled meat options.

These chains demonstrate how versatile Greek salads can be while still maintaining the core elements that make this dish so beloved across different palates and cultures. Whether it’s sticking to tradition or adding a modern spin, there’s a version out there for every taste bud.
