Introduction:
A winter storm watch has been issued for the Grand Forks area, with the National Weather Service predicting significant snowfall and strong winds starting on November 18, 2024. Residents are advised to prepare for hazardous travel conditions and potential disruptions.

Main Content:
The storm is expected to bring up to 4 inches of snow to the region, with higher amounts possible in some areas. Winds gusting up to 35 mph will create blowing snow and reduced visibility, making travel dangerous. Local authorities are urging residents to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary and to ensure they have emergency supplies on hand.

City officials have activated their snow removal plans, with crews working around the clock to clear streets and maintain access to critical services. Schools and businesses are also preparing for potential closures and delays.

Conclusion:
As the first major winter storm of the season approaches, Grand Forks residents are reminded to stay informed and take necessary precautions to stay safe. The community’s preparedness and response efforts will be crucial in minimizing the impact of the storm.
