Why Is Call Recorder Not Recording Incoming Voice on Android?

Call recording is a helpful feature of smartphones that allows you to record important conversations with clients, colleagues or loved ones for reference later. However, some Android users have reported that their call recorder app is not recording incoming voice during a call. There could be several reasons why this problem occurs, and we will explore each of them below.

1. Phone model compatibility issues

Call recording apps may not function properly on some phone models. This is because manufacturers often customize the Android operating system for their devices. So, if your phone is incompatible with your call recorder app, it will not record incoming voice. To avoid this issue, it is best to ensure that your phone model is compatible with your call recorder app before downloading it.

2. Permissions

Call recorder apps need certain permissions to work correctly. If your app does not have these permissions, it will not record incoming voice during a call. To check the permissions of a call recorder app, go to the settings of your Android device and select “Apps.” Find the app in question and tap on it to view its permissions. You can grant the necessary permissions from there.

3. Settings

Sometimes, the issue may be with the settings of the call recorder app itself. Certain settings could prevent the app from recording incoming voice. You should check your app settings to make sure that incoming voice recording is enabled. Go to the app’s settings and look for ‘Recording’ or ‘Call Record’ settings, and ensure that the ‘Incoming Voice’ option is enabled.

4. Version and update issues

An outdated version of the app or an outdated Android operating system can cause call recording issues, including audio problems. Ensure that your call recorder app is up-to-date, and if it’s ‘buggy’ or has other issues, try updating to a more recent version. You should also make sure that your Android operating system is up to date to avoid compatibility issues.

5. Third-party apps

Some third-party security apps or other call recorder apps may interfere with the performance of your call recorder app, preventing it from recording incoming voice. This can result in audio problems during calls. Try closing any other apps that may interfere with your call recorder app.

6. Network issues

Finally, network issues such as poor signal strength, or low call quality, can interfere with the call recorder app’s ability to record incoming voice. If you’re connected to a poor network, your call recorder app may not work correctly.
