As the world continues to evolve and destinations open up, 2024 is set to be a year filled with new adventures and experiences for travellers. From ancient cities with rich histories to unspoiled natural landscapes, there’s something for every type of traveler. If you are planning your next great escape, these are the best places to consider for your 2024 travel itinerary.

1.Kyoto, Japan– Step into the serenity and tradition of Japan in Kyoto. With its ancient temples, beautiful gardens, and traditional tea houses, Kyoto offers a peaceful retreat from the fast-paced world. Don’t miss the blooming cherry blossoms in the spring or the vibrant red maple leaves in autumn.

2.Norway –If you’re seeking stunning natural beauty, look no further than Norway. Fjords, auroras, and midnight sun provide a backdrop for activities such as hiking, fishing, and even glacier walking. With sustainable tourism practices in place, it’s a destination that not only impresses but also preserves its unparalleled landscapes.

3.Patagonia, Argentina and Chile– A paradise for trekkers and nature lovers alike, Patagonia’s mountains, glaciers, and grasslands are spectacularly remote. Explore the rugged Torres del Paine National Park or witness the Perito Moreno Glacier’s immense beauty.

4.New Zealand– Offering some of the most diverse landscapes on earth, New Zealand is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you want to explore Middle-earth through Hobbiton or bungee jump at Queenstown, there’s an adventure waiting at every turn.

5.Ghana– Known as one of the most welcoming countries in Africa, Ghana presents a rich tapestry of culture, history, beaches and wildlife reserves. Visit Cape Coast Castle for a poignant history lesson or experience buzzy Accra’s urban arts scene.

6.Seville, Spain –Immerse yourself in Andalusian charm with Seville’s flamenco dance, Gothic architecture at Seville Cathedral and the scent of orange blossoms filling the air. The city also makes a good base for exploring other parts of southern Spain.

7. Bhutan– This Himalayan kingdom remains one of the most exclusive travel destinations with its strong commitment to tourism sustainability and Gross National Happiness philosophy. Bhutan offers spellbinding monasteries, mountain treks for all levels, and rich cultural experiences.

8.Perth, Australia– Often overlooked by its more famous counterparts like Sydney and Melbourne, Perth is emerging as a vibrant destination with new hotels, an evolving dining scene and beautiful beaches like Cottesloe Beach perfect for sundowners.

9.Matera Italy– Known for its ancient cave dwellings carved into limestone rocks; Matera is one of the world’s longest continuously inhabited cities. It mixes unique historical ambiance with modern art installations and excellent regional foods like peperoni cruschi (crispy bell peppers).

10.Lisbon Portugal– Surfing the waves off Costa da Caparica or enjoying pastéis de nata (custard tarts) in Belém makes Lisbon a must-visit locale that combines culture with coastal pleasures.

From far-flung wilderness excursions to culturally immersive city breaks; 2024 promises destinations that not only broaden horizons but also offer unparalleled adventures around every corner.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
