Google Assistant is a virtual assistant that can be used to perform a variety of tasks on your smartphone or smart home device. However, sometimes the voice feature of Google Assistant may not work properly, leaving you frustrated. In this article, we will guide you on what to do when Google Assistant voice won’t work.

Step One: Check Your Device Settings

The first step is to check your device settings to ensure that the microphone is turned on and not muted. If you are using a smartphone, go to the settings and check the audio settings to ensure that the microphone is not blocked or muted. On a smart home device, check the microphone settings to ensure that it is not turned off.

Step Two: Check Your Internet Connection

Google Assistant requires an internet connection to work properly. If your internet connection is weak or not working, the voice feature of Google Assistant may not work properly. Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection to ensure that it is working properly.

Step Three: Update Your Google App

If your Google app is not up to date, the voice feature of Google Assistant may not work properly. Go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and check for any available updates for the Google app. If there is an update available, download and install it.

Step Four: Clear Your App Cache

Sometimes, clearing the app cache can help fix issues with Google Assistant. Go to the settings on your device, select “Apps,” and find the Google app. Select the app and then select “Storage.” Finally, select “Clear Cache.”

Step Five: Restart Your Device

If all else fails, try restarting your device. This can help clear any temporary issues with your device and may fix the issue with Google Assistant voice not working.

In conclusion, Google Assistant is a powerful tool that can make your life easier. However, when the voice feature is not working, it can be frustrating. By following these steps, you can troubleshoot the issue and get Google Assistant voice working properly again.
