Singapore’s Changi Airport is known for its unparalleled customer experience and a plethora of amenities that stand out on the global stage. This bustling airport isn’t just a place to catch flights; it’s a destination in itself. If you ever find yourself at Changi, here are the must-do activities:

Firstly, visit the Jewel Changi Airport, a nature-themed entertainment and retail complex on the landside of Changi Airport. Its centerpiece is the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, the Rain Vortex, which is surrounded by the Shiseido Forest Valley, a four-story garden filled with lush greenery.

Next, explore the numerous themed gardens spread across different terminals. The Butterfly Garden in Terminal 3 is home to over 1,000 butterflies and is the first of its kind in an airport. There’s also the Cactus Garden in Terminal 1, the Sunflower Garden in Terminal 2, and even an Enchanted Garden that comes to life through motion sensors and special lighting effects.

If you’re looking for some rest and relaxation, head over to Terminal 1’s rooftop pool. You can take a swim or simply lounge by the poolside with a cocktail from the bar and watch planes take off against a backdrop of a stunning sunset.

For entertainment, catch a movie at one of the free 24-hour movie theaters located in Terminals 2 and 3. If you’re traveling with family, the children can enjoy interactive play areas like ‘The Slide @T3,’ which is Singapore’s tallest slide and is as high as a four-story building.

Art aficionados will appreciate The Kinetic Rain sculpture in Terminal 1—it’s made up of 1,216 bronze droplets that move seamlessly to create various shapes and patterns.

When hunger strikes, you are spoilt for choice with a range of dining options that showcase Singapore’s diverse food culture as well as international cuisines. Don’t miss out on local dishes like Laksa and Hainanese Chicken Rice at any of the airport restaurants.

Before your departure, make sure to shop at any of Changi’s numerous duty-free stores which offer everything from high-end fashion brands to electronics at tax-free prices.

It’s clear that Singapore’s Changi sets the standard for what an airport can offer. Rather than a place one dreads spending time in, it’s transformed into an attraction that’s worth arriving hours before your flight just to explore and enjoy.
