What Is Gametime on a Motorola Phone?

As smartphone technology advances, the possibilities of what phones can do continue to expand. One of the latest features to be introduced on Motorola phones is Gametime. But what exactly is Gametime, and what does it do?

Gametime is a feature that is exclusive to Motorola phones, such as the Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus and Moto Z3. It is essentially a gaming mode that allows users to optimize their phone’s performance for gaming.

When Gametime is activated, it reduces background activity on the phone, which frees up memory and processing power for the game. This means that the game will run more smoothly, with fewer lag issues or frame rate drops. Gametime also blocks notifications and calls while the game is in progress, which helps minimize interruptions and distractions.

Another useful feature of Gametime is the ability to customize settings for individual games. Users can set different performance profiles for each game, allowing them to tailor the phone’s performance specifically to that game’s requirements. For example, a game with intensive graphics may require a higher level of processing power to run effectively, so users can adjust the settings to optimize performance for that particular game.

Gametime also includes a feature called “Game Assistant”, which provides shortcuts and quick access to various settings while playing games. This includes activating the “Do Not Disturb” mode, taking screenshots, and adjusting the phone’s performance settings.

To activate Gametime, simply open the Moto app on your phone and select “Gametime”. From there, you can customize your settings and start playing your favorite games with optimized performance.

In conclusion, if you’re a mobile gamer or just enjoy playing games on your phone, Gametime is a great feature to have on your Motorola phone. It enhances your gaming experience by optimizing and customizing your phone’s performance for the game, and reduces interruptions and distractions while you play. So go ahead, activate Gametime and see the difference it makes to your gaming experience!
