What Is Fandango and How Does It Work?

Fandango is a popular movie ticketing platform that has taken the entertainment world by storm. It is one of the most trusted and used platforms that provides its users with an easy way to buy movie tickets and plan their cinema-going experience. The platform has a vast network of cinemas, making it easy for moviegoers to purchase tickets, avoid long lines, and watch their favorite movies in their chosen location. So, what exactly is Fandango, and how does it work?

Fandango is an online ticket retailer specializing in movie ticket sales. It is accessible from any device and can be used to purchase tickets for theaters that are part of the Fandango network. Fandango offers a wide range of movie tickets, including new releases, upcoming films, and a variety of genres. The ticketing platform also provides theater listings that go beyond showtimes through its Fandango Atom mobile app.

To use Fandango, you need to create an account on the website or mobile app. Once you have created an account, you can select the movie you want to see and the theater where you prefer to watch it. Fandango provides detailed information about the film, including its rating, playtime, and even a plot summary. Additionally, the platform provides users with seating charts. They can choose the seat they want, and Fandango will display the specific seat on a digital map.

When you have selected which movie and theater you want to go to, Fandango will initiate the payment process. You can purchase tickets using electronic payment methods such as debit cards, credit cards, or through digital wallets such as Google Pay or PayPal. After payment, Fandango will send an e-ticket to your email, which you can print or download to your mobile device.

Fandango also provides its users with reviews from fellow moviegoers. These reviews should help you decide whether or not to see the movie. You can also rate the film yourself after you have watched it. Plus, for added convenience, Fandango provides suggestions of similar content that moviegoers might enjoy.

Besides ticketing, Fandango also offers movie showtimes for theaters across the US and Canada, movie trailers, and information on the latest movies being released. The platform is also accessible using a range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and computers.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
