New York City’s vibrant bar scene is famous worldwide, delivering everything from sophisticated cocktail lounges to gritty dive bars. This year, four incredible bars have been voted some of the best globally, crafting experiences that go beyond the usual nightcap. Whether it’s for their innovative cocktails, exceptional service or the ambience that captures the essence of New York, these establishments have set themselves apart.

One of these esteemed locales is Attaboy, situated on the Lower East Side. This acclaimed spot is known for its no-menu approach, where skilled bartenders tailor-make drinks based on individual preferences. The speakeasy-style entrance leads into a dimly lit space that’s both intimate and unpretentious.

Not far behind in recognition is The NoMad Bar at the NoMad Hotel, with its posh decor and top-notch hospitality. This bar has a meticulously curated cocktail menu that includes classics with a twist and rare spirits. Its elegant setting is matched by an equally impressive food offering – from fancy snacks to substantial gourmet fare.

Over in Brooklyn, Clover Club stands out with its homage to vintage glamour and emphasis on communal drinking culture. Here you can find expertly shaken or stirred concoctions alongside a menu of refined comfort food—a nod to the social club essence after which it’s named.

Last but certainly not least is Death & Co., which has been at the forefront of modern cocktailing since opening its doors in the East Village. With a constantly evolving menu of creative drinks and a flair for dramatic presentation, this bar has developed an almost cult-like following among those who take their spirits seriously.

While each bar has carved out its niche, what binds them together is excellence—an attribute readily acknowledged by locals and international aficionados alike. A visit to any of these bars offers more than just a drink; it’s a foray into the best that New York City’s nightlife has to offer.
