These Are the Best Beauty Routines to Do During Your Flight

Maintaining your skincare routine while flying can be challenging, but it’s also incredibly important due to the dry cabin air that can dehydrate your skin. Here are some of the best beauty routines you can adopt on your next flight to keep your skin looking fresh and hydrated.

1.Stay Hydrated:The most basic yet crucial step is to drink plenty of water before, during, and after your flight to counteract the dehydration caused by high altitudes.

2.Cleanse Your Skin:Use micellar water or facial wipes to cleanse your face during a long flight. It rids the skin of oil and dirt and prepares it for moisturization.

3.Moisturize Generously:Apply a generous amount of hydrating serum or moisturizer to lock in moisture. Consider using products with hyaluronic acid, which helps in retaining water in the skin.

4.Eye Care:The skin around your eyes is very delicate. Apply an eye cream or gel to reduce puffiness and dryness around this area.

5.Lip Balm:Cabin air can dry out your lips. Keep them hydrated with a lip balm that contains ingredients like beeswax, shea butter, or coconut oil.

6.Hand and Cuticle Cream:Don’t forget your hands! They can become dry as well, so apply hand cream and cuticle oil throughout the flight.

7.Freshen Up with Facial Mist:Throughout the flight, spritz your face with a soothing facial mist to refresh and keep the skin moist.

8.SPF Protection:If you’re flying during daylight hours by a window seat, don’t forget to apply SPF to protect against UV radiation, which can penetrate airplane windows.

9.Minimal Makeup:If you prefer wearing makeup, keep it minimal. Maybe just a tinted moisturizer with SPF and mascara that’s easy to remove and reapply.

10.Sheet Mask:For those not shy about pampering themselves publicly, a sheet mask can provide intense hydration – just remember to remove it before it dries completely.

11.Hand Sanitizer:While not strictly related to beauty, keeping hands clean is essential for preventing bacteria from transferring to your face when you apply creams or makeup.

12.After-Flight Care:Once you arrive at your destination, give your skin another thorough cleanse and moisturization session.

Adopting these practices will help ensure that you arrive at your destination with skin that feels nourished and refreshed despite hours spent in the air.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
