Electric vehicles are not just for city driving anymore. Off-roading enthusiasts can now join the electric revolution as well. While electric vehicles may still be perceived as being more suited to city driving, there are now electric off-road vehicles that can compete with petrol and diesel-powered 4x4s in terms of performance, power, and range.

Here are the best electric vehicles for off-roading:

  1. Rivian R1S – The Rivian R1S is a highly anticipated electric SUV with exceptional off-road capabilities. It has a massive 750 horsepower electric motor capable of hauling a 3,500-pound load, with a range of up to 300 miles.
  2. Bollinger B1 – The Bollinger B1 is the world’s first all-electric off-road SUV. It boasts an impressive 200 horsepower electric motor, with a top speed of 100 mph and a range of up to 200 miles. The B1 is built to tackle challenging off-road conditions with a coarse terrain system and high ground clearance.
  3. Tesla Cybertruck – The Tesla Cybertruck has been the talk of the town and has become one of the most anticipated electric off-road vehicles. This futuristic pickup truck ditches traditional looks and boasts a monolithic, all stainless-steel design with bulletproof glass. The Cybertruck has a range of 500 miles and can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds.
  4. Jeep Wrangler 4xe – The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the first electrified Jeep and delivers impressive off-road capability. It has up to 375 horsepower thanks to a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that works in conjunction with two electric motors. It also offers up to 25 miles of pure electric driving and a total range of 370 miles, making it ideal for off-road adventures.
  5. Ford F-150 Lightning – The Ford F-150 Lightning is yet another highly anticipated electric off-road vehicle. It boasts a powerful electric motor that provides 563 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque, with a range of up to 300 miles. It also has a spacious cabin, providing ample room for passengers and gear, making it an ideal vehicle for off-roading expeditions.
