Spread the love

Seattle, known for its stunning waterside views and vibrant cultural scene, is also a paradise for food lovers. From fresh seafood to innovative fusion cuisine, the city’s diverse culinary offerings can satisfy any craving. In 2024, I had the pleasure of indulging in some truly unforgettable dishes. Here are the best 15 things I ate in Seattle this year:

.Cedar-Plank Salmon at Ivar’s Acres of Clams – The smoky flavor of salmon roasted on a cedar plank captures the essence of Pacific Northwest cooking.

.Triple Coconut Cream Pie from Dahlia Bakery – This iconic dessert, with its flaky crust and rich coconut filling, is simply out of this world.

.Dungeness Crab Mac & Cheese at Beecher’s Handmade Cheese – A creamy, decadent twist on a classic comfort dish featuring locally sourced Dungeness crab.

.Korean Boneless Short Ribs at Revel – Marinated in a savory-sweet sauce and grilled to perfection, these ribs were tender and packed with flavor.

.Smoked Oyster Chowder at The Walrus and the Carpenter – A creamy, smokey chowder that elevates the humble oyster to new heights.

.Peking Duck Sliders at Ba Bar – Crispy duck contrasted with tangy sauce and soft steamed buns makes for a perfect bite.

.Wild Mushroom Risotto at Cascina Spinasse – Earthy mushrooms paired with creamy arborio rice create an elegant and hearty dish.

.Japanese Cheesecake at Tres Lecheria – Light-as-air cheesecake that strikes the perfect balance between sweet and tangy.

.Pork Belly Bao at Hood Famous Bakeshop – The softest bao filled with rich pork belly and crisp vegetables, slathered in hoisin sauce.

.Authentic Street-Style Tacos at El Camion – Every visit here guarantees fresh tortillas cradling succulent meats and vibrant salsas.

.Vegan Pho at Ba Sa – Aromatic broth loaded with fresh veggies and tofu made this pho a memorable vegan indulgence.

.Elk Tartare at Canlis – An adventurous yet refined dish impeccably presented, delivering both in taste and texture.

.Fresh Oysters on the Half Shell at Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar – Briny and fresh with a hint of the sea, these oysters were wonderfully refreshing.

.Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen at Ramen Danbo – A rich pork-based broth spiked with just the right amount of heat to warm you up on Seattle’s rainiest days.

.Lavender Honey Ice Cream at Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream – This creative flavor gently melds floral notes with sweetness for an unexpected delight.

Exploring Seattle’s food scene is always an adventure that promises to surprise your palate and I can’t wait to see what culinary treasures I’ll discover in 2025!
