The Absolute Best Way to Reheat Pizza in the Air Fryer

Spread the love

Have you ever faced the ultimate leftover conundrum: how to reheat pizza so that it’s as close as possible to its original, out-of-the-oven glory? While the microwave turns it soggy and the oven takes forever, we have uncovered an absolute game changer – reheating pizza in an air fryer! It may not be conventional wisdom just yet, but trust us, this method is quickly becoming the go-to for pizza aficionados.

Using an air fryer restores the crispy crust that we all love while ensuring the cheese melts into that perfect gooey layer. Here’s your definitive guide to reheating pizza in an air fryer – once you try it, there’s no going back!

Step 1: Preheat Your Air Fryer

For best results, preheat your air fryer to 325-350 degrees Fahrenheit. This step is critical because it ensures a quick and even reheating process. The exact temperature may vary depending on your air fryer model and personal preference.

 Step 2: Prepare Your Pizza

Take your cold slice of pizza out of the fridge. There’s no need to let it come to room temperature first – it can go straight from fridge to air fryer.

 Step 3: Protect the Toppings

To prevent small toppings from falling through or flying around due to the air fryer’s fan, some folks like to lay a piece of parchment paper underneath the slice or use an air fryer-safe pan if they have one.

 Step 4: Time to Reheat

Place your pizza slice in the air fryer basket. Set the timer for about 4-6 minutes. Again, timing will depend on your specific model and how crispy you like your crust. Keep a close eye on it after 4 minutes to ensure it doesn’t overcook.

Step 5: Take Out The Perfectly Reheated Slice

Once your slice reaches that ideal balance of crispy crust and melted cheese, remove it from the air fryer, give it a minute or so to cool down (we know, it’s hard to wait!), and get ready to enjoy a slice that tastes freshly made.

By using this method, your leftovers will transform into a delicious meal that rivals its original form. No longer does day-old pizza need to be a sad shadow of its former self. Rejoicing in leftover food has never been more exciting – all thanks to the versatility of the humble air fryer!
