Baked boneless chicken thighs are a delicious and convenient option for an easy weeknight dinner or a savory meal prep ingredient. Not only are they packed with flavor, but they also require minimal effort to prepare. Here’s how you can make the best baked boneless chicken thighs that will have your family asking for seconds.

Firstly, it’s important to choose quality chicken thighs. Look for organic or free-range varieties if possible, as they tend to have better flavor and texture. Before you begin cooking, make sure to pat the chicken dry with paper towels; this helps achieve a crisper finish.

Marinade is key to infusing your chicken with mouth-watering flavor. You can opt for classic seasonings like garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper or get creative with ingredients like soy sauce, honey, mustard, or various herbs and spices. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes — though several hours or overnight is ideal if time allows.

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) for a nice sear on the outside of the thighs. While the oven heats up, arrange your marinated chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure the thighs are not touching so that heat can circulate around them properly, ensuring even cooking.

For added richness, you can top each thigh with a small pat of butter before baking. This step is optional but adds a delightful juiciness to the meat.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) when checked with a meat thermometer. For an extra golden-brown crust, you may broil the chicken thighs on high for 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking.

Once done, let the baked thighs rest for a few moments before serving. This helps retain their flavorful juices inside.

Serving suggestions might include pairing these succulent baked boneless chicken thighs with roasted vegetables, a fresh salad, or atop a creamy bed of mashed potatoes or rice pilaf.

There you have it — the best baked boneless chicken thighs that are sure to be a hit at any meal table! With minimal prep and maximum satisfaction, this dish will become a go-to favorite in your recipe collection.
