Still No Third Stimulus Check? Track Your Money Now with This Online Tool

If you’re one of the many who are still waiting on your third stimulus check, rest assured, you’re not alone. With the passing of the American Rescue Plan Act, millions of eligible individuals and families are anxiously waiting for their much-needed financial aid. If you haven’t received your check yet, there’s a simple and effective online tool that can help you track the status of your money: The IRS “Get My Payment” portal.

The “Get My Payment” tool is an official service provided by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that allows individuals to check the status of their third Economic Impact Payment, also known as the stimulus check. By using this tool, you can obtain information about when your payment is scheduled to be sent, and what form it will arrive in (direct deposit, paper check, or prepaid debit card).

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use this online tool:

1. Go to the “Get My Payment” portal on the official IRS website: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

2. Click on the “Get My Payment” blue button to proceed.

3. You will need to agree to the U.S Government System Privacy Act and Rules before proceeding, so click “OK” when prompted.

4. Enter your required personal information, including Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN), date of birth, street address, and postal code.

5. Click “Continue” to access your payment status.

Once you’ve provided all required information and clicked “Continue,” you’ll receive an update on your stimulus payment status. The update will indicate one of three outcomes:

1. Payment Status: This will inform you whether a payment has been processed or if it cannot be determined whether you’re eligible for a payment.

2. Payment Type: This indicates the method in which you will receive your payment (direct deposit, paper check, or Economic Impact Payment debit card).

3. Payment Date: If your payment has been scheduled, you’ll be provided with a projected date when you can expect to receive it.

Please note, the IRS updates their tool once per day, so you may need to visit again for updated information. Be prepared for some delays and possible issues when using the “Get My Payment” portal, as it tends to experience high traffic during peak times.

As the third stimulus checks continue to roll out, make sure to use the “Get My Payment” tool to stay informed about the status of your payment. By utilizing this online resource, you can ensure that your much-needed financial relief is on its way.
