In a scathing statement released today, [CEO Name] alleges that the VC firm withdrew funding from her startup and actively worked to damage her reputation within the tech industry following her disclosure.

[CEO Name] claims that the assault occurred during a business trip in [Location], where she met with the VC partner to discuss potential funding. She reported the incident to [VC Firm Name] immediately, but alleges that the firm dismissed her concerns and instead chose to protect the alleged perpetrator.

“I was shocked and devastated by their response,” [CEO Name] stated in her statement. “They not only failed to investigate my claim properly, but they also took actions to punish me for speaking out.”

[CEO Name] claims that the VC firm, after initially showing interest in [Startup Name], withdrew its funding offer and spread rumors within the industry about her company’s viability. This, she alleges, has severely impacted her ability to secure further funding and jeopardized the future of her startup.

“I am sharing my story because I believe it’s important to hold these powerful institutions accountable,” [CEO Name] continued. “Sexual assault is a serious crime, and perpetrators should not be protected by their positions of power.”

[VC Firm Name] has denied the accusations, calling them “false and defamatory.” In a statement released this evening, the firm maintained that it “takes all allegations of misconduct very seriously” and that “a thorough internal investigation found no evidence to support [CEO Name]’s claims.”

This incident has sparked outrage within the tech community, with many entrepreneurs and investors expressing solidarity with [CEO Name] and calling for a deeper examination of the VC firm’s actions.

“This is a disturbing pattern we’ve seen too often in the tech industry,” commented [Name], CEO of [Company Name] and a vocal advocate for women in tech. “[VC Firm Name]’s alleged response is unacceptable, and it sets a dangerous precedent. We need to create a culture where victims are supported and perpetrators are held accountable, regardless of their status.”

[CEO Name] has stated that she is seeking legal advice and considering further action against [VC Firm Name].

The story is developing and further details are expected to emerge in the coming days.
