Starlink Mini Is Now Available For Anyone In The US To Roam

SpaceX, the private aerospace manufacturer and space transport services company founded by Elon Musk, has announced that its Starlink Mini, a smaller and more affordable version of its satellite internet service, is now available for anyone in the United States to purchase.

The Starlink Mini is a smaller and more portable version of the original Starlink service, which was launched in 2020. The original service requires a flat antenna dish that needs to be installed in a customer’s home, which can be a barrier to entry for some consumers. The Starlink Mini, on the other hand, is a compact device that can be easily carried in a backpack or purse, making it perfect for people who need to stay connected on the go.

The Starlink Mini uses the same advanced satellite technology as the original service, but it’s designed for larger, more portable devices, such as camping equipment, RVs, or even boats. It’s also faster and more reliable than some of the other satellite internet services on the market, with download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and latency as low as 20 ms.

The Starlink Mini is available for purchase on the Starlink website and is priced at $499, which includes a one-year subscription to the service. The service starts at $99 per month, with a discount available for customers who prepay for a full year.

“We’re excited to bring the Starlink Mini to the US market, where we believe it will be a game-changer for people who need reliable and fast internet connectivity on the go,” said a spokesperson for SpaceX. “Whether you’re a camper, an RV owner, or just someone who likes to stay connected while traveling, the Starlink Mini is the perfect solution.”

The Starlink Mini is available in all 50 states and is compatible with most devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. It also supports streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video, making it perfect for families and individuals who want to stay entertained on the go.

In addition to its portability, the Starlink Mini is also designed to be easy to use, with a simple setup process that can be completed in just a few minutes. It also has a built-in power supply and can be used with a standard USB-C cable.

Overall, the Starlink Mini is a great option for anyone who needs reliable and fast internet connectivity on the go, and is a major expansion of SpaceX’s satellite internet service in the US.
