To charge your Ring Doorbell, use the included micro-USB charging cable that came with your device. Plug the USB end into a wall adapter or a computer and the micro-USB end into the charging port located at the back or bottom of the Ring Doorbell. Allow it to charge for several hours until the LED indicator lights up as fully charged (green light).

2. Remove and charge the battery pack

If you have a Ring Video Doorbell 2, it comes with a quick-release battery pack which makes it easier for you to charge. Start by pressing the tab on the battery pack and gently slide it out. Connect it to a micro-USB charger and wait for about 5-10 hours until it’s fully charged (the LED turns blue). Once completed, slide the battery pack back into the doorbell.

For those who prefer a more environmentally friendly approach or don’t want to worry about constantly removing their device for charging, invest in a solar charger designed specifically for Ring Doorbells. 4. Hardwiring your Ring Doorbell

Hardwiring your Ring Doorbell to existing doorbell wiring can keep it continuously charged without needing manual intervention. This process involves connecting two wires from your existing doorbell transformer, typically supplying 8-24V AC, to the Ring Doorbell. This method is compatible with most models, except the Ring Video Doorbell 2’s battery-operated model which cannot be hardwired.
