Samsung’s AI Robot Ballie Returns to CES With a Projector

Samsung’s AI robot, Ballie, made a comeback at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) with an exciting new feature—a built-in projector. Unveiled previously as a small rolling bot designed to understand and support your needs around the home, Ballie has evolved.

This spherical companion now boasts integration with a projector system that allows it to not only interact with users but also to project content onto various surfaces. This adds another layer of functionality to the already versatile robot, which Samsung suggests could revolutionize how people interact with their smart homes.

Ballie is designed to roll around the home, acting as a fitness assistant, security system, and now, as an entertainment hub thanks to its projector capability. Imagine following an exercise routine projected on the wall by your robotic companion or having it display recipes in the kitchen as you cook. Ballie’s potential use cases seem even more boundless with this addition.

The AI that powers Ballie has been one of its most talked-about features. It is designed to recognize and respond to its owner, adapting to their preferences and routines. The integration of projective abilities might further enhance its role in educational activities or remote working scenarios where sharing visual information is crucial.

Samsung has not yet released full specifications or a release date for the updated Ballie, but interest is high following its CES appearance. The company aims to push the boundaries of what can be expected from personal AI companions. With advancements like these highlighted at CES, it’s clear that Samsung is keen on paving the future of interactive technology within our homes.
