River Edge Redevelopment Zone Approved
The Quincy City Council approved the creation of a River Edge Redevelopment Zone (RERZ) to incentivize local developers with tax credits and exemptions. This initiative aims to revitalize riverfront properties, increase property values, and provide more housing within the community. The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity will consider Quincy’s application within 180 days.
