Rice Krispie Treats are a classic, no-bake dessert that has remained a favorite among kids and adults alike for decades. They’re sweet, crunchy, gooey, and incredibly easy to make! In this article, we’ll share the best Rice Krispie Treats recipe and some tips on how to make them.

Ingredients:

– 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter (1/2 stick)

– 1 package (10 oz) of large marshmallows or 4 cups of mini marshmallows

– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

– Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan by greasing it lightly with butter, non-stick cooking spray, or lining it with parchment paper.

2. In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat. If you are using unsalted butter and would like to add a pinch of salt for added flavor, do so at this stage.

3. Once the butter is completely melted, add the marshmallows to the pot and stir them constantly until they’re fully melted and combined with the butter. If you’d like to add a little extra flavor to your treats, you can also stir in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract at this point.

4. Remove the pot from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to fold the cereal into the marshmallow mixture gently but thoroughly, making sure that all of the cereal is evenly coated.

5. Pour the Rice Krispie mixture into your prepared pan and spread it out evenly. Use wax paper or wet hands to press down on the mixture lightly so that it’s packed in well without becoming too dense.

6. Let your Rice Krispie Treats cool completely in the pan. Once they’ve cooled, cut them into squares or rectangles using a sharp knife or bench scraper.

7. Enjoy your delicious homemade Rice Krispie Treats! Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Tips for Perfect Rice Krispie Treats:

1. To make your treats extra gooey, use more marshmallows—up to 5 cups of mini marshmallows or an additional half of the 10 oz package.

2. Experiment with different types of cereal, like Cocoa Krispies or Fruity Pebbles, to create unique and delicious variations on the classic recipe.

3. For added texture and flavor, consider mixing in chocolate chips, peanut butter, or chopped nuts after you’ve combined the cereal with the marshmallow mixture.

4. Use cookie cutters to create fun shapes out of your treats for special occasions or holiday celebrations.

Rice Krispie Treats are a timeless, crowd-pleasing dessert that is incredibly simple to make. With this best Rice Krispies Treats recipe and these helpful tips, you’ll impress friends and family at your next gathering with littl
