The much-anticipated releases of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have brought with them a whole new world of adventure for Pokemon fans. With over 400 Pokemon available in-game, players have a lot to catch and collect. However, two of the most enigmatic and sought-after creatures are the legendary Pokemon Mew and Jirachi. This article will give you all the information you need on how to add these elusive species to your collection.

Getting Mew in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Mew, the very first mythical Pokemon, is known for its high stats, adaptable movepool, and adorable appearance. Here’s how to catch it in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl:

1. Get the Mystery Gift: The primary method to obtain Mew in the game is through Mystery Gifts using a code distributed by Nintendo or The Pokémon Company during special promotions. These promotions are usually time-limited, making it crucial that you keep an eye out for news and announcements.

2. Transfer from Previous Games: If you’ve already caught a Mew in a previous game like Pokémon Go or Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee, you can transfer it using Pokémon HOME. To do this, connect your Nintendo Switch with your mobile device or the 3DS version of Pokémon Bank.

Acquiring Jirachi in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Jirachi is another highly valued mythical Pokémon with versatile abilities and well-rounded stats. To add this star-shaped creature to your team, follow these steps:

1. Use Nintendo Promotions: Like Mew, Jirachi can also be obtained through special promotions by Nintendo or The Pokémon Company involving Mystery Gift codes. Keep an eye on their social media channels and websites for any updates.

2. Pokemon Colosseum Bonus Disc: If you have access to the original Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc for the GameCube, you can use the Jirachi Wish Maker to send a Jirachi to your copy of Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire. From there, you can transfer it through the various Pokémon games using Pokémon Bank and HOME.

3. Pokemon Channel: Another way to get Jirachi is to play through Pokémon Channel on the GameCube and access the European or Australian version of the game. Upon completing it, you’ll receive a Jirachi that you can transfer to your Generation III games and then subsequently use Pokémon Bank and HOME to move it to Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

With a bit of patience and some luck during promotions, you can successfully capture Mew and Jirachi in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. They make fantastic additions to any team, giving you new strategies for battles and offering a unique sense of pride in your ever-growing collection. Happy hunting!
