Few things are more frustrating than a phone that won’t charge. Whether you’re trying to get through a busy day or stay connected with friends and family, a dead battery can quickly put a damper on your plans. Fortunately, there’s an easy DIY trick you can try at home before resorting to more drastic measures.

What You’ll Need

To get started, you’ll need a few basic tools:
– A toothbrush
– A small pin or needle
– A soft cloth

Step 1: Clean the Charging Port

The first step is to clean the charging port on your phone. Over time, dust and debris can accumulate in the port, preventing your charger from making a solid connection. To clean the port, use a toothbrush to gently brush away any visible dirt or debris. Be careful not to damage the port itself.

Step 2: Remove Any Obstructions

Next, use a small pin or needle to carefully remove any obstructions from the charging port. This might include lint or other small pieces of debris that are stuck inside. Be gentle and take your time to avoid damaging the port.

Step 3: Wipe Down Your Phone

Finally, use a soft cloth to wipe down your phone and remove any remaining dirt or debris. This will help ensure that your charger makes a solid connection when you plug it in.

Conclusion

If your phone won’t charge, don’t panic! There are several easy DIY tricks you can try at home before taking it in for repairs. By cleaning the charging port and removing any obstructions, you may be able to get your phone back up and running in no time.

Of course, if these tricks don’t work, it may be time to take your phone in for repairs or consider purchasing a new one. But before you do, give this DIY trick a try and see if it helps!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
