Microsoft Ads Are Creeping Into the Windows 11 Start Menu

Windows 11, the latest operating system from Microsoft, has been creating a buzz ever since it was announced. With its enhanced features and new design, Windows 11 has already started to change the game for the computing industry. However, one interesting development that has caught the attention of many users is the inclusion of Microsoft Ads in the Windows 11 Start Menu.

Yes, you read that right – Windows 11 now displays ads in the Start Menu. This change has sparked a great deal of outrage among users who feel that Microsoft is trying to monetize the operating system in an intrusive way.

The ads appear in the form of ‘Suggested’ apps and settings, and are found in the Start Menu as you browse through your installed apps. These Suggested apps are essentially advertisements that promote various Microsoft products and services.

Microsoft Ads in the Start Menu is not a new concept. It was first introduced in Windows 8, and despite the backlash, Microsoft has continued to display ads in Windows 10. However, in Windows 11, the ads are more prominent and harder to ignore as they take up more space in the Start Menu.

Some users have pointed out that they can simply turn off the Suggested apps feature to get rid of the ads. However, this is not the perfect solution as some users might find certain suggestions helpful and might miss out if they disable the feature altogether.

The inclusion of ads in the Start Menu mainly serves as a way for Microsoft to promote its own products and drive revenue. However, it’s worth noting that many users feel that Microsoft is already making a significant profit from the sale of its operating system, and the inclusion of ads is simply a way to make even more money at the expense of an already paid-for product.

Many users have expressed their dissatisfaction with Microsoft’s decision to include ads in Windows 11, and it remains to be seen whether Microsoft will take any steps to alleviate the controversy. While some argue that it’s a minor inconvenience, others feel that it’s a significant betrayal of users’ trust.

Overall, Microsoft’s decision to include ads in the Windows 11 Start Menu is a contentious issue. While some users might not mind the ads, others feel that they’re intrusive and unnecessary. It remains to be seen what Microsoft will do to address the backlash, but for now, users will have to decide for themselves whether they’re willing to tolerate ads in their Start Menu.
