In an exciting development for electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts, Mercedes-Benz has partnered with Starbucks to bring high-power charging to a major coffee shop chain. This strategic move aims to further accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and provide drivers with convenient and accessible charging options.

As part of the partnership, Mercedes-Benz has installed its High-Power Charging (HPC) technology at select Starbucks locations in the United States, Europe, and China. This technology allows for faster charging times, reducing the time spent at charging stations and making it more practical for drivers to use their cars for daily commutes.

The HPC system is capable of delivering up to 150 kW of power, which can charge a Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle to 80% in just 30 minutes. This means drivers can grab a cup of coffee and enjoy a snack while their car is charging, making the overall experience more convenient and enjoyable.

The collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and Starbucks is a significant step forward in the development of the EV charging infrastructure. With more than 30,000 locations worldwide, Starbucks is an ideal partner for providing convenient and accessible charging options. The combined efforts of the two companies will help to increase the adoption of electric vehicles and reduce carbon emissions.

“We are excited to partner with Starbucks to provide our electric vehicle customers with a convenient and enjoyable charging experience,” said Markus Schäfer, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz AG. “The High-Power Charging technology is a game-changer for the electric vehicle industry, and we are committed to making EV charging a seamless and enjoyable experience for our customers.”

The partnership is also expected to promote the adoption of electric vehicles among coffee lovers and commuters who frequent Starbucks locations. With the convenience of high-power charging, drivers can easily stop by their favorite coffee shop to charge their cars while they grab a cup of coffee or work on their laptops.

The first phase of the partnership will see the installation of HPC stations at select Starbucks locations in major cities, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and Berlin. The rollout will expand to other locations in the coming months and years, as the partnership continues to grow.

In conclusion, the partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Starbucks is a significant step forward in the development of the EV charging infrastructure. With the convenience of high-power charging and the accessibility of Starbucks locations, the future of electric vehicles has never looked brighter. As the partnership continues to grow and expand, we can expect to see a significant increase in the adoption of electric vehicles and a reduction in carbon emissions.
