Jeep Wrangler gets doors-off mirror kit to remedy a pesky issue

In a move to address a long-standing issue for Jeep Wrangler enthusiasts, the automaker recently introduced its doors-off mirror kit, ensuring that owners can now take their off-roading adventures to new heights. The unveiling of this practical solution means that drivers can relish the open-air experience without sacrificing critical rear-view visibility.

For years, Wrangler owners who chose to remove their doors faced two problems: the loss of side mirrors and difficulty in meeting local and federal laws that necessitate sideview mirrors. As a result, many Jeep drivers had to resort to makeshift solutions such as attaching motorcycle mirrors or other aftermarket options which, unfortunately, weren’t always efficient or aesthetically appeasing.

With the release of this doors-off mirror kit, Jeep has eliminated these obstacles and catered directly to its loyal followers. The kit comes with exterior-mounted mirrors that ensure the safety and legality of driving sans doors—an indulgence that harkens back to its WWII-era ancestors.

The installation process is straightforward and designed with the average driver in mind. With specialized brackets and mounting hardware included in the package, the mirrors effortlessly connect to various points on the vehicle’s exterior frame. Owners can decide whether they want to install them temporarily or permanently—regardless, no special skills or tools are required for either choice.

Customers can purchase Mopar part number 82215331AB through an authorized Jeep dealership or online for around $295. The estimated installation time is under two hours, assuming you have basic mechanical ability. A few simple steps and voila—you have an essential upgrade that every modern Wrangler deserves.

Jeep’s commitment to its fanbase is evident in this doors-off mirror kit, which addresses a longstanding pain point for off-roading devotees worldwide. With this strategic move under its belt, Jeep remains dedicated to maintaining safety standards while adapting to the ever-evolving needs of its customers. The future continues to look bright for this iconic and beloved brand, as it seeks to balance classic characteristics with modern innovation.
