Is He Bad At Texting Or Not Interested? Here’s How To Tell

The dreaded “is he into me?” question pops up whenever a new crush enters the picture. But navigating the confusing world of modern dating, where the majority of communication happens through text, can be even trickier. Are his delayed replies a sign of disinterest, or is he just, well, bad at texting?

Here’s how to decipher the signals:

Look for consistency: Does he regularly respond late, or are there occasional delays? If his responses are consistently delayed, even when he’s online, it might indicate he’s not actively engaging in the conversation. However, if he’s usually prompt but occasionally takes longer, it could simply be a sign of a busy schedule.

Consider the context: Is he replying in short, generic sentences, or does he actively participate in the conversation? A genuine interest will often be reflected in detailed replies, questions, and a willingness to continue the conversation.

Don’t jump to conclusions: Sometimes, people are just bad at texting. Maybe he’s not comfortable with digital communication, or maybe he’s simply more of a face-to-face communicator.

Take the initiative: Don’t be afraid to initiate conversations and show your interest. If he’s genuinely interested, he’ll respond enthusiastically.

Ultimately, the best way to gauge his interest is to look beyond the texts. Do his actions match his words? Does he make an effort to see you or spend time together?
Remember, texting is just one piece of the puzzle. Pay attention to the bigger picture and trust your instincts.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
