Make investments in Your Employees With An LXP

As the cost of hiring continues to rise, one of the most valuable resources a firm can invest in is a learning experience platform (LXP). An LXP is a user-based learning program designed for organizations and consumers to learn, develop new skills, and increase engagement.

“This business has exploded…over its $300 million and expanding at a 50 percent annual rate,” says HR expert Josh Bersin. Adopting an LXP can result in a more beneficial training program by increasing engagement. Employees can create stronger bonds between the subject they’re learning and the organization’s objective, resulting in increased levels of productivity, employee happiness, and information retention.

What Is the Distinction Between an LXP and an LMS?

An LXP is more interactive and functions as a content and delivery management system. LXP, like many modern social media platforms, allow users to engage with unique, curated content and act as an extension of the company. Furthermore, an LXP is useful in a corporate environment with remote employees since it keeps employees linked and allows them to feel like they’re part of the group.

The LMS (learning management system) was the industry standard for tracking and managing employee training procedures. Training platforms are evolving in tandem with technology and the labor market. The LMS model works well as a learning platform with a one-way flow of information from the company to the individual, but LXPs serve as a central hub for training, engagement, resources, socialization, and communications for the entire enterprise. LXP provide a personalized, engaging, and user-centered experience that goes beyond a learning platform to provide additional value to both the enterprise and the learners.

The LMS was able to store and distribute online courses and training while also tracking employee development. This was a standalone system in which the employee checked in and only engaged with the courses. The LXP, on the other hand, provides social learning and community features that design a unique learning experience for the learner. An LXP can also function as a multi-dimensional community hub, similar to a company intranet, combining the value of a formal LMS with social and communication technologies.

The Benefits of an LXP

Companies that deploy an LXP alongside L&D and broader people initiatives can reap a range of benefits, including: 

  • Advanced content and digital monitoring to evaluate the performance 
  • Increased rates of customer and employee retention
  • Increased levels of engagement and productivity 
  • Stronger brand voice and brand loyalty 
  • Establish successful cross-functional teams and connections

An LXP may store and monitor data and analytics, resulting in a more complex interface and the capacity to follow data. Employers can utilize this data to analyze how their staff perform and grow to maximize ROI and change their learning and development goals accordingly.

LXP also provide greater customer service and retention. These systems help to retain customers by providing a more personalized and hands-on employee portal for onboarding, product training, and announcements. Furthermore, an LXP can serve as a reference library as well as a community-building intranet for the full network of customer support workers. It can serve as a consolidated training and engagement community for clients. Users can utilize an LXP to learn, interact, and contribute by logging in.

Employee performance, retention, and morale can all be attributed to LXP. Employees that are more focused and engaged are more likely to remain loyal to the brand. Making employees feel more involved in the workplace can lead to higher levels of sustained success.

LXP strive to make the workplace more engaging. The existence of social elements can be quite advantageous for linking distant employees to the firm as a whole. The same may be true for linking managers and employees from all around the world to generate brand affinity.

These are all essential tools for keeping staff in control and connected.

LXP offers methods of communication that can promote transparency, feedback, and communication for big groups in addition to likes, comments, and shares. Maintaining rapport among coworkers requires consistent conversations that enable multi-way involvement.

This can also help to create enthusiastic employee, partner, and sales communities. LXP fosters brand alliances by creating locations for individuals to connect, exchange experiences, and collaboratively grow alongside the business. The feature sets of LXPs were created with exploration and user experience in mind, and they are intended to enable site exploration and content discovery to improve cross-departmental connectivity. Organizations can benefit from a more transparent workplace when an LXP is used to create community.

  1. LXPs can boost employee well-being by improving business morale, participating in individualized experiences, and improving job satisfaction, in addition to helping the larger collective.
  2. LXPs can also help with more in-depth, helpful training programs. They are customizable and include feedback loops, likes, shares, quizzes, and can adjust to the individual’s specific learning needs.
  3. Many entry-level training programs can be repetitive and dull, causing employees to absorb less information. An LXP, on the other hand, provides a cooperative, creative, and interesting platform that can boost staff morale and well-being.

Companies are beginning to incorporate LXPs inside L&D, and larger people strategies as the market for LXP solutions has grown significantly with increased levels of investment in these platforms. As COVID-19 continues to have an impact on the world, many businesses are embracing remote or hybrid employment. Employees working in either scenario benefit from LXP features since they enhance staff morale and brand loyalty. It enables employees to stay connected and engaged regardless of where they work.

Advantages of Hybrid Workplaces

Finally, because of its creative, configurable features designed to meet a wide range of objectives, implementing an LXP can give meaningful outcomes and benefits across the board. To get the most out of their investment, businesses should look for a solution that looks and feels like a consumer-focused application that employees will want to use.

With so various benefits to typical business difficulties, it’s tough to argue against an LXP, and after just a few weeks of utilizing it, your firm will wonder how it ever got by without it.
