Introduction:

Nato watch straps have become increasingly popular due to their durability, comfort, and versatility. Originating from the British Ministry of Defence, Nato straps were initially designed for military use but have now become a stylish accessory for watch enthusiasts. This guide will walk you through the 11 steps on how to wear a Nato watch strap.

Step 1: Choose Your NATO Strap

Select a Nato strap that complements your watch face and fits your wrist comfortably. Consider factors such as color, material, and width when making your choice.

Step 2: Remove Your Watch’s Existing Strap

Detach your existing watch strap using a spring bar tool or other appropriate instrument. Be careful not to scratch your watch case or damage the spring bars.

Step 3: Thread the NATO Strap Through the Spring Bars

Slide one end of the Nato strap through the upper spring bar, then continue threading it through the lower spring bar.

Step 4: Position the Buckle and Keepers

Ensure that the buckle and keepers on your Nato strap are facing inwards toward your wrist while positioning it on top of the watch face.

Step 5: Tuck the Long End of the Strap

Tuck the longer end of the strap under both keepers, so it sits snugly against your wrist.

Step 6: Determine Wrist Size

Measure your wrist size to know how much excess strap you will have. It is essential for a comfortable fit without being too tight or loose.

Step 7: Trim Excess Strap (Optional)

If there is an excess length of strap, you may choose to trim it carefully with a pair of sharp scissors. Make sure not to cut too short since this could result in an uncomfortable fit.

Step 8: Burn/Seal Strap End (Optional)

After trimming, consider burning or sealing the cut end of the strap with a lighter to prevent fraying. This step is especially relevant for nylon straps.

Step 9: Secure the Strap

Pull the long end of the strap tightly to ensure your watch is securely fastened to your wrist. Your watch should stay comfortably in place without sliding around.

Step 10: Tuck or Fold Any Remaining Excess Strap

If there is still some excess strap, tuck or fold it back under one or both keepers to ensure a neat and secure appearance.

Step 11: Enjoy Your NATO Strap

Finally, enjoy the comfortable, stylish, and versatile Nato strap on your watch!

Conclusion:

Wearing a Nato watch strap is an excellent way to enhance the look and feel of your watch. By following these 11 simple steps, you can easily wear a Nato strap and enjoy its unique style and durability.
