Snapchat is a social media platform that is popular among teenagers and young adults. One of the most recent features of Snapchat is memories. It enables users to save their snaps and share them later. Snapchat memories allow you to maintain a collection of your favorite snaps and video stories. It is an easy and fun way of reliving your memories.

Here is everything you need to know about how to use Snapchat memories:

What are Snapchat memories?

Snapchat memories allow you to save and share snaps and stories within the app. This feature offers an opportunity to revisit old snaps and recollect past stories that were otherwise lost in the app. You can either choose to save the snaps you send or the ones you receive from your friends. It also enables you to create a new story by combining your old snaps in a single story.

How to access Snapchat memories?

Accessing memories is straightforward. All you have to do is swipe up from the camera screen, and you will see two tabs – ‘Memories’ and ‘Camera Roll.’ You will be directed to your Snapmap when you swipe down from the camera screen.

How to use Snapchat memories?

There are several ways to use Snapchat memories. Here are some ways;

1. Save snaps to memories:

After taking a picture or recording a video on Snapchat, tap on the ‘save’ icon at the bottom left corner of the screen. Once you’ve saved the snap, you will be prompted to ‘save to camera roll’ or ‘save to memories.’ Select ‘save to memories,’ and it will save your snaps to memories.

2. Create new stories using memories:

You can create a new story using your favorite snaps from your ‘Memories.’ To do that, follow these steps.

1. Tap on the ‘Memories’ tab.

2. Navigate to the snap you want to add.

3. Select the snap, and then tap the ‘more’ icon (three dots) at the top right corner.

4. Select ‘Add to Story.’

5. Choose whether to add it to an existing story or create a new one.

3. Edit snaps in memories:

Snapchat allows you to edit your saved snaps by applying filters, lenses, or stickers. You can edit your snaps in your memories or while creating a story. To edit snaps in memory:

1. Tap on the ‘Memories’ tab.

2. Navigate to the snap you want to edit.

3. Tap the snap to view it in full screen.

4. Swipe up to access editing tools.

5. Select the desired editing tool, then apply the changes.

4. Find specific memories:

Snapchat memories are arranged in chronological order, making it easy to search for a specific memory. You can also search for specific snaps or stories using keywords or dates. To do that:

1. Tap on the ‘Memories’ tab.

2. Swipe down to reveal a search bar.

3. Type in the keyword or date.

4. Snapchat will display all the relevant snaps.

Final verdict

Snapchat memories offer an excellent way to revisit past memories and share favorite snaps and stories with your friends. With these easy steps, you can use the feature to the fullest. Give it a try, and relive your favorite memories with your friends and family.
