Google Docs is a popular word-processing application that allows users to create and edit documents online. One of the most recent updates to the application is the introduction of a dark mode. Dark mode is a display setting that changes the screen’s background from white to black, making it easier on the eyes and reducing eye strain. In this article, we will cover how to use Google Docs dark mode.

Step 1: Accessing Google Docs

Log in to your Google account and open Google Docs.

Step 2: Enabling Dark Mode

To enable dark mode in Google Docs, click on the three dots located in the top-right corner of the screen, then click on “Settings.”

In the settings menu, you will see an option that says “Theme.” Click on the drop-down menu and select “Dark” to enable dark mode.

Step 3: Using Dark Mode

Once you have enabled dark mode, the document’s background color will change from white to black. The text will also appear in a lighter shade to provide contrast.

Use the application as you normally would, and you will notice that the background color will remain black.

Step 4: Disabling Dark Mode

To disable dark mode, click on the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen, click on “Settings,” and select “Light” from the drop-down menu under the “Theme” section.

Conclusion

Dark mode is an excellent feature that can help reduce eye strain and make it easier to work for long periods. By following the steps in this guide, you can enable and disable dark mode in Google Docs quickly. Regardless of whether you prefer a light or dark theme, Google Docs has you covered
