Snapchat is a popular social media platform for sharing pictures and videos with friends and family. One of the standout features of Snapchat is the filters that users can use to add fun and creativity to their snaps. Filters are special overlays that users can apply to their snaps to change their appearance or add augmented reality effects. If you are new to using Snapchat, you might be wondering how to use filters on Snapchat quickly and easily. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to use filters on Snapchat.

1. Open Snapchat Camera

To apply filters to your snaps, you must open the Snapchat camera. The Snapchat camera can be accessed by swiping left or right on the Snapchat home screen.

2. Enable Filters

To enable filters on Snapchat, you must swipe up on the camera screen. This action will open a list of available filters. You can scroll through this list to see the various filters available.

3. Choose a Filter

Once you have enabled filters, it’s time to select a filter. You can do this by swiping left or right on the camera screen. This action will cycle through the different filters that are available. Snapchat filters can transform your face into an animal, add special effects, or even change the background of your snap.

4. Use Filter Lenses

Filter lenses are another great feature that lets you add augmented reality effects to your snaps. To access the filter lenses, you need to tap and hold on the camera screen. This action will activate a facial recognition feature that scans your face and tracks your movements. Snapchat filter lenses can make you look like a cartoon character, add special effects to your snaps, or even alter your voice.

5. Add Geo-Filters

Geo-filters are special overlays that are based on your location. They can be added to your snaps by swiping left or right on the camera screen. These filters are location-based and will only appear if you are in a certain area. For example, if you are near a popular landmark, a geo-filter for that landmark may be available.

In conclusion, using filters on Snapchat is a fun and easy way to add creativity to your snaps. With just a few simple steps, you can add filters, filter lenses, and geo-filters to your snaps. So, go ahead and experiment with filters on Snapchat and have fun sharing your snaps with friends and family.
