Curved text is a great way to give your PowerPoint presentation that extra edge and make it stand out from the rest. This feature can be used to create a path for text to follow, adding a sense of flow and movement to your slides. In this article, we’ll go over how to use curved text in PowerPoint.

Step 1: Open Microsoft PowerPoint

Launch Microsoft PowerPoint and create a new or open an existing presentation.

Step 2: Insert a shape

Click on the Insert tab, then choose Shapes. Select a shape that you want to add your curved text to, such as an oval or a circle. Draw the shape onto your slide.

Step 3: Add text

Click on the shape and a Text Box will appear. Add the text you want to curve onto the shape inside the Text Box.

Step 4: Curve the text

Click on the Drawing Tools tab at the top of the screen. Within the WordArt Styles group, click on the Text Effects dropdown menu and select Transform. From there, click on the Transform option again and select Follow Path > Circle.

Note: You can choose any of the Follow Path options to create the curve shape you prefer.

Step 5: Adjust the curve

Once you have applied the curve to your text, you can adjust the path by clicking on the yellow diamond handle to the right of the shape. This will bring up two arrows that allow you to change the angle and position of the curve.

Step 6: Customize the Text

You can customize the text further by selecting various Text Effects and WordArt Styles from the Drawing Tools tab. This will allow you to change the font, color, and style of the text.

Step 7: Save and present

Once you are happy with your curved text, save your presentation and get ready to wow your audience.

In conclusion, curved text is a simple but effective way to enhance your PowerPoint presentation and make it more visually appealing. By following the simple steps above, you can easily add curved text to your slides and take your presentation to the next level.

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject.
