AirPlay is a feature that allows you to share media between your Apple devices and other compatible devices. Although AirPlay was originally designed to work only on Apple devices, now you can use it on other platforms, including Roku.

Using AirPlay on Roku is an excellent method for streaming movies, photos, and music from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to your Roku TV. Here is a step-by-step guide to using AirPlay on your Roku device.

Step 1: Ensure All Devices Are Connected to Wi-Fi

Make sure all of your devices are linked to the same Wi-Fi network before beginning the process. This is crucial since AirPlay requires a functioning network to operate. It’s preferable to use a Wi-Fi connection rather than cell data when employing AirPlay because Wi-Fi will be more stable.

Step 2: Enable AirPlay on Your Roku Device

To activate AirPlay on your Roku device, you must first enable it in the settings. To do so, go to the home screen on your Roku device and navigate to Settings > Apple AirPlay and HomeKit > AirPlay > Enable AirPlay.

Step 3: Connect Your Apple Device to Your Roku Device

Assuming your Roku device is enabled for AirPlay, you may now connect your Apple device to it. To activate AirPlaying from your Apple device, swipe down from the upper right corner of your iPhone or iPad to view the Control Center. If you’re using a Mac, you can find the AirPlay button in the menu bar.

Step 4: Choose Your Roku Device

To AirPlay your device’s screen and content to your Roku device, select it from the list of available connections. Your Roku device should appear in the list of active connections.

Step 5: Stream Your Media

Once you’ve established a connection between your Roku and Apple devices, you’re ready to start streaming media. You may now pick the media you want to broadcast to your Roku device, whether it’s a movie, song, or photo.

Step 6: End AirPlay

When you’re finished broadcasting media to your Roku device, disconnect it by opening the AirPlay menu on your Apple device and selecting Disconnect Screen Mirroring.

AirPlay is a fantastic method for streaming media from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to your Roku TV. It’s an easy process that anyone can accomplish with minimal effort. By following these steps, you’ll be able to use AirPlay on your Roku device in no time.
