1. Choose the right location: Select a convenient, easily accessible spot in your home for your Diaper Genie, preferably close to your baby’s changing table.

2. Assemble the Diaper Genie: Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to assemble the unit.

3. Install a refill: Open the Diaper Genie and insert a refill ring, pulling the edge of the plastic bag through the opening on the inside of the lid.

4. Tie a knot: Pull out about 18 inches of plastic and tie a secure knot at the end to create a bottom seal.

5. Push the knotted end into the pail: Carefully push the knotted end into the bottom of the Diaper Genie.

6. Close and secure the lid: Close the top lid and make sure it clicks into place securely.

7. Diaper disposal: When you have a dirty diaper, open the top lid of your Diaper Genie to dispose of it.

8. Pushing in a diaper: While holding onto the diaper, push it through the clamp in order to completely seal it within the bag below.

9. Release and close: After pushing in a diaper, release your grip and close the top lid.

10. Repeat steps 7-9 for each dirty diaper until you’re ready to empty your Diaper Genie.

11. Emptying your Diaper Genie: Lift up on both sides of the top lid and remove it from its position.

12. Cut and tie off bag: Using built-in or separate safety cutter, slice through some of that bag material then take out few inches bag again and tie another knot to seal off remaining diapers left inside pail

13. Remove tied-off diapers: Carefully pull out this sealed bundle of used diapers & toss them into an outside trash can or garbage bin when possible for odour control purposes.

14. Replace refill: Replace with new refill ring if needed, and follow the process of steps 3-6 to prepare your Diaper Genie for continuous diaper disposal.

15. Maintain and clean your Diaper Genie: Regularly wipe down the outside with a damp cloth and mild soap, and occasionally clean inside, especially if there are any spills or leaks. Make sure to clean it thoroughly to keep your Diaper Genie odor-free.

By following these 15 steps, you’ll ensure a hygienic and effective diaper disposal system in your home, making diaper changing a much more pleasant experience for you and your baby. Happy diapering!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
