Canva is a popular online graphic design tool that allows users to create stunning designs with ease. One of the features that make Canva standout from other similar platforms is the ability to upload custom fonts. This means you can use any font that isn’t already available in Canva. If you’re wondering how to upload a font in Canva, here’s a step-by-step guide that will show you how.

Step 1: Find your font

The first step to uploading a font to Canva is finding the font you want to use. You can find fonts from various sources online; some free and others that require payment. You can use websites such as Google Fonts, Dafont, and Font Squirrel to search and download fonts. Depending on the source, the font might be downloaded as a .zip or .ttf file.

Step 2: Extract the font files

After downloading the zip file, extract the font files to a folder where you can easily locate them. Make sure the extracted file format is .ttf (TrueType Font) or .otf (OpenType Font).

Step 3: Upload the font to Canva

Once you have the font files, the next step is uploading them to Canva. Here’s how:

– Log in to Canva with your account.
– On your dashboard, click on the ‘Create a design’ button and select your preferred template.
– Click on the ‘Text’ tool on the left-hand side panel.
– From the dropdown that appears, click on the ‘Upload a font’ button.
– A dialog box will open. Go ahead and click on the ‘Upload a font’ button to choose the font you want to upload.
– Navigate to the folder where you saved the font files and select the .ttf or .otf files.
– After the upload is complete, you’ll be able to use your new font in your designs.

Step 4: Use your uploaded font

Once Canva has finished uploading your fonts, you can use them in your design. Go ahead and create a text box, select the text, then click on ‘More’. From here, you can select your uploaded font and start using it.

In conclusion, uploading a font in Canva is an easy process that adds a personal touch to your designs. With a vast library of fonts to choose from, finding the perfect font might seem daunting, but with the easy guide above, you can upload your preferred font in no time. Happy designing!
