Updating your AMD Radeon graphics drivers can improve the performance of your computer and prevent issues caused by outdated drivers. With Windows 11, updating your graphics drivers is straightforward and can be done in a few simple steps.

Step 1: Identify Your AMD Radeon Graphics Card

The first step to updating your AMD Radeon graphics driver is identifying which graphics card you have. To do this, you can either check your computer manual or follow these steps:

1. Press Win+R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.

2. Type “dxdiag” in the text box and click OK.

3. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, click on the Display tab.

4. The name of your graphics card will be listed under the Device section.

Make a note of the name of your graphics card, as you’ll need this information later.

Step 2: Download and Install the Latest Drivers from AMD

Once you’ve identified your graphics card, you can download the latest drivers from AMD’s website. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Visit the AMD website (https://www.amd.com/en/support).

2. Click on the Drivers & Support tab.

3. Select your product family (e.g., Radeon Graphics).

4. Select your product line (e.g., Radeon RX Series).

5. Select your product model (e.g., Radeon RX 6800).

6. Click on the Download Now button to download the latest drivers.

Once the drivers have downloaded, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the new drivers. This may involve restarting your computer, so make sure to save any open files before proceeding.

Step 3: Verify Your Graphics Card Driver Version

After installing the new drivers, you should verify that they have been updated successfully. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Press Win+R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.

2. Type “dxdiag” in the text box and click OK.

3. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, click on the Display tab.

4. The version of your graphics driver will be listed under the Driver section.

Compare the version number to the one listed on the AMD website to ensure that you have successfully updated your graphics driver.
