TikTok is a social media platform that has taken the world by storm. It’s a platform where people share their creativity and style through short videos. One of the key features of TikTok is its captions, which are displayed as subtitles on the videos. Some users might want to turn the captions on or off while watching videos depending on their preferences. This article will outline how to turn TikTok captions on or off while watching videos.

Step 1: Open the TikTok App

The first step to turning captions on or off is to ensure that you have the TikTok app installed on your device. If you have not installed it yet, you can download it from the App Store or Google Play Store. Once you have installed the app, open it and navigate to the video you want to watch.

Step 2: Tap on the Video

Once you have the TikTok app open, scroll until you find the video you are interested in watching. Tap on the video to start playing it.

Step 3: Tap on the Screen

When the video starts playing, tap on the screen, and you will notice a few icons appear on the screen. These icons are usually placed on the right-hand side of the screen. One of these icons represents the captions. You will see a speech bubble icon with the letters “CC” in it.

Step 4: Turn Captions On or Off

To turn the captions on, tap on the speech bubble icon with the letters “CC” on the right-hand side of the screen. This will turn the captions on, and you will start seeing the subtitles on the screen. To turn the captions off, tap on the speech bubble icon again. This will turn the captions off, and you will no longer see the subtitles on the screen.

Step 5: Adjust Captions Settings

If you want to adjust the captions’ settings further, you can do so by tapping on the three dots found on the right-hand side of the speech bubble icon. Once you tap on the three dots, a menu will pop up, showing different settings. From here, you can adjust the captions’ size, color, and font.

Step 6: Enjoy Watching the Video

Once you have turned the captions on or off, and adjusted the settings, you can sit back and enjoy watching the video the way you want, with or without captions.
