A rose bud tie knot is a unique and eye-catching way to wear your tie, perfect for special occasions or events where you want to stand out from the crowd. In this article, we will walk you through the steps on how to tie a rose bud tie knot. With a little practice, you’ll be able to create this stunning accessory in no time!

Step 1: Drape the tie around your neck

Start by draping the tie around your neck with the wide end on your right and the narrow end on your left. The wide end should be significantly longer than the narrow end, approximately 12 inches lower.

Step 2: Create a loop with the wide end of the tie

Cross the wide end over the narrow end. Then, bring the wide end under the narrow end and up through the neck loop from below, pulling it all the way through until it’s snug against your collar.

Step 3: Form a dimple in the wide end of the tie

Make a small outward dimple in the center of the wide end by pinching it between your fingers. This will give shape and structure to your rose bud knot.

Step 4: Wrap the wide end around the narrow end

Keep holding the dimple in place with one hand while you take the wide end of the tie with your other hand. Wrap it around both sides of narrow-end loop while keeping it nice and tight.

Step 5: Pass through a new neck loop

Bring the wide end across itself and up through a new neck loop created by wrapping around narrow end. Pull it all through.

Step 6: Tuck in to make petals

To form petals of rose bud shape, take wide-end tip that came out of neck loop, and tuck it back down into space between two layers formed during step 4-double wrapping around the narrow end. This will create first set of petals.

Step 7: Create second layer of petals

With remaining part of wide end, repeat step 6 to tuck into space between layers again and create a second-layer petal effect. Make sure to pull tight so that the rose bud knot is secure.

Step 8: Adjust and tighten

Now that the rose bud knot has been formed, you’ll need to adjust and tighten it by gently pulling on narrow end of tie while holding knot in place. Make sure the knot is centered and sitting properly against your collar.

Step 9: Put on your collar and jacket

Finally, put on your dress shirt collar, ensuring the rose bud knot is displayed prominently, and slip on your jacket to complete the look. You should now have an elegant and unique rose bud tie knot that makes a statement wherever you go!

Congratulations! You’ve successfully learned how to tie a rose bud tie knot. With these steps in mind, you can confidently showcase your personal style at any event or special occasion.
