In the age of digital technology, staying connected with your emails and other online activities is of paramount importance. For those who use Hotmail (now Outlook) as their primary email service, syncing it with your iPad can make things even more convenient. This article will guide you through the simple steps to sync your Hotmail account on an iPad.

Step 1: Access the Settings App

To begin, tap the Settings app icon on your iPad’s home screen. The Settings app allows you to manage all your device’s preferences, including email accounts.

Step 2: Go to ‘Mail’

Once you have opened the Settings app, locate and tap on the ‘Mail’ option in the menu. This will lead you to the settings for managing all your email accounts on your iPad.

Step 3: Add Account

In the Mail settings, locate and tap on ‘Accounts’, followed by ‘Add Account’. This option allows you to add new email accounts to your iPad.

Step 4: Choose Outlook.com

A list of email providers will appear. As Hotmail is now part of Outlook.com, select this option by tapping on it. The Outlook logo is usually blue with a white envelope icon and an “O” symbol.

Step 5: Enter Your Email Credentials

After selecting Outlook.com, you will be prompted to enter your Hotmail/Outlook email address and password. Fill in the required credentials and tap ‘Next’ for further steps.

Step 6: Permissions Request

The system may request some permissions to access certain features of your account, such as contacts or calendar events. Review these requests and grant permission by tapping ‘Yes’.

Step 7: Customize Sync Options

Once permission has been granted, you will see a screen with multiple syncing options like Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders. Toggle these options based on your preferences and tap ‘Save’ to create the sync.

Step 8: Confirm Sync

Now your Hotmail account should be synced on your iPad. Confirm this by opening the ‘Mail’ app on your iPad. The newly-added Hotmail account should be visible in the list of email accounts.

Congratulations! You have successfully synced your Hotmail account with your iPad. With this integration, you can now conveniently access, manage, and send emails from your Hotmail account using your iPad.
