How to Start a Hulu Watch Party in 5 Easy Steps

Spread the love

Watching your favorite shows and movies with friends and loved ones can be a fun and engaging experience. With the rise of streaming services, like Hulu, you can now enjoy virtual watch parties from the comfort of your own homes. In this article, we will guide you through five easy steps to start a Hulu watch party.

Step 1: Install the Hulu Watch Party Extension

To begin hosting a watch party on Hulu:

1. Make sure you are using Google Chrome browser as the process requires an extension.

2. Go to the Chrome Web Store by typing “chrome://extensions” into the address bar or searching for it in your preferred search engine.

3. Search for “Hulu Watch Party” in the Chrome Web Store.

4. Click on “+ Add to Chrome” next to the official Hulu Watch Party extension developed by huluwatchparty.com.

5. Confirm any prompts that appear during installation.

Step 2: Open Hulu and Choose Content

After installing the extension:

1 . Open a new tab in Google Chrome browser. 2 . Go to hulu.com and log into your account if prompted.

• If you don’t have a Hulu account yet, create one following their sign-up process before proceeding further.

3 . Browse through available shows or movies on Hulu until you find what you want to watch.

Step 3: Start Watching with Friends

Once you’ve chosen content:

1 . Play an episode or movie as normal within your browser window—ensuring that video is launched via hulu.com (not another source).

• The playback controls should match those provided by standard Hulu player/interface—meaning no additional buttons related directly to watch party functionality will be visible.

2 . Look for an icon resembling three people at top-right corner of your browser window (next to other extensions).

3 . Click on this icon to open the Hulu Watch Party extension pop-up.

Step 4: Create a Watch Party

In the Hulu Watch Party extension pop-up:

1 . Click/tap on “Create” to generate a unique link for your watch party. 2 . Copy the generated URL by clicking/tapping on “Copy Link.”

• Share this copied URL with your friends or loved ones whom you want to invite to join your watch party.

3 . Alternatively, click/tap on “Invite Friends”—which will provide options for sharing via email, social media, or copying an invitation text.

Step 5: Invite Others and Enjoy!

With the copied URL:

1. Send it via your preferred communication platform (email, messaging apps, etc.) or paste it into a message within relevant group chat/social media platforms.

2. Your friends can now click on that link and join the watch party instantly.
Once everyone has joined:

• You can all enjoy watching together in sync while chatting using the built-in chat feature of Hulu Watch Party.

Please note that all participants must have their own active Hulu subscriptions and be located within supported regions where Hulu is available.

Conclusion

Hosting a watch party with friends and loved ones through Hulu is an excellent way to share entertainment experiences—even when physically apart. By following these five easy steps—installing the Hulu Watch Party extension, opening Hulu and choosing content, starting watching with friends using the extension’s pop-up menu, creating a watch party by generating and sharing a unique link—you can easily set up enjoyable virtual viewing sessions.
