In recent years, BMW has introduced innovative features in its vehicles, such as Comfort Access, allowing owners to enjoy a more convenient and seamless driving experience. One of these features includes starting the car without manually inserting the key into the ignition. In this article, we will guide you through the process of starting your BMW with Comfort Access.

1.Approach your BMW: As you walk towards your vehicle, the Comfort Access system senses the key fob in your pocket or purse within a range of about 5 feet. As you approach, it automatically unlocks the doors without needing to press any buttons on the key fob.

2.Enter your BMW: Open the door and get inside your car. Ensure that you have the key fob with you, as the Comfort Access system works by sensing its proximity.

3.Press the brake pedal: Before starting the engine, make sure to press down on the brake pedal firmly. This is a safety feature that ensures proper operation and prevents accidental starting of the engine.

4.Locate the Start/Stop button: The Start/Stop button is usually located near the steering column or on the center console, depending on your particular BMW model. Familiarize yourself with its location before proceeding.

5.Start the engine: With your foot still on the brake pedal, press and release the Start/Stop button quickly without holding it down to start your BMW’s engine. You should hear it roar to life as long as the key fob remains within range inside your car.

6.Prepare for departure: Once started, wait for a moment while any necessary diagnostics are completed by your car’s computer system. Once all indicators appear normal on your dashboard, you are ready to drive away.

7.Stopping and exiting: After arriving at your destination, put your car in park and press the Start/Stop button again to turn off the engine. As you leave the vehicle and walk away, the Comfort Access system automatically locks the doors once you’re out of range.

Enjoy the convenience of starting your BMW without the need for a traditional key with Comfort Access. The hands-free experience allows for a smooth and less stressful journey, whether you’re running errands or going on an extended road trip. Happy driving!

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech.
