How to Set Up And Use Fire TV Recast

Fire TV Recast is a great device for cord-cutters as it allows you to watch and record live TV shows and stream them on Fire TV, Echo Show or any compatible mobile devices. Set up and using a Fire TV Recast is easy, and here’s how to do it.

Setting up Fire TV Recast

Before setting up Fire TV Recast, you’ll need the following:

– A Fire TV device, Echo Show or any compatible mobile device with the Alexa app installed.
– A stable Wi-Fi connection.
– An HDTV antenna with coaxial cable.

Once you have all the above requirements, follow the instructions below:

Step 1: Connect the HDTV antenna

Connect the HDTV antenna to the Fire TV Recast using the coaxial cable that comes with the device. Ensure that the antenna is in a spot that receives excellent reception for better TV signal quality.

Step 2: Connect Fire TV Recast to Power

Plug in the power cord of Fire TV Recast into a power outlet and ensure that the power adapter is connected correctly.

Step 3: Connect Fire TV Recast to Wi-Fi

On your Alexa app, navigate to the ‘Devices’ tab and select the ‘Fire TV’ option. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the Fire TV device to Wi-Fi.

Step 4: Pair Fire TV Recast with Fire TV device or Echo Show

To pair Fire TV Recast with Fire TV or Echo Show, follow these steps:

– Navigate to the ‘Settings’ menu on your Fire TV device or Echo Show
– Click on the option ‘Live TV’
– Select the ‘Set Up Your Fire TV Recast’ option
– Follow the steps displayed on the screen

Using Fire TV Recast

Once Fire TV Recast is set up, you can now enjoy watching live TV shows and even record them. Here’s how:

Watching Live TV

The Fire TV interface has an integrated program guide that allows you to switch between different channels.

To watch live TV, say, ‘Alexa, tune to [channel name]’ or use the Fire TV remote to navigate through the guide and select your desired channel.

Recording Live TV

Fire TV Recast allows you to record live TV so you can watch it later. Here’s how to record live TV:

– Say, ‘Alexa, record [show name]’ or navigate to the guide and select the show.
– Click on the ‘Record’ button to record the show.

Stream Recordings

Fire TV Recast allows you to stream recordings on any compatible device. Here’s how to do it:

– Navigate to the ‘DVR’ menu on your Fire TV device or Echo Show.
– Select the show you want to watch.
– Click on the ‘Play’ button to stream the recording.

In conclusion, Fire TV Recast is an excellent device for cord-cutters who want to access live TV shows, record and access them on a later date. Setting up the device is easy, and so is using it. With the above instructions, you should set up and use a Fire TV Recast with ease.
