In Spain and many Latin American countries where Spanish is spoken, wish people a happy holiday season by saying “Feliz Navidad.”

3. French: Joyeux Noël

In France, Canada’s Quebec province, and other French-speaking regions, greet others with a warm “Joyeux Noël.”

4. Italian: Buon Natale

If you’re in Italy or addressing Italian speakers elsewhere in the world, a heartfelt “Buon Natale” will do the trick.

5. German: Frohe Weihnachten

For those of you celebrating with German speakers, you’ll be using “Frohe Weihnachten” to wish them a festive time.

8. Chinese (Mandarin): 圣诞快乐 (Shèngdàn kuàilè)

When celebrating the season with Mandarin Chinese speakers from China or elsewhere around the globe use “Shèngdàn kuàilè” to pass on your best wishes

9. Japanese: メリークリスマス (Merīkurisumasu)

For those in Japan or among the Japanese-speaking community, greet your friends and loved ones with “Merīkurisumasu.”

If you find yourself in South Korea or interacting with Korean speakers during the holiday period, offer up a cheerful “Meri Keuriseumaseu.”

11. Arabic: ميلاد مجيد (Milad Majid)

Countries across the Arabic-speaking world will appreciate a holiday greeting that uses this beautiful script, which translates to “Glorious Birth” or simply, “Merry Christmas.”

12. Hindi: क्रिसमस की बधाई (Krismas ki badhaai)
