How to Apply False Eyelashes: 8 Steps

Applying false eyelashes can be a game-changer for your makeup routine, enhancing your eyes and taking your look to the next level. Here are eight simple steps to follow for flawless false lash application.

1. Choose the right lashes: There are various types of false lashes available in the market, such as full strip, individual, or accent lashes. Consider the desired effect and select a pair that suits your eye shape and personal style.

2. Trim the lashes: Most full strip lashes may need trimming to fit your eye size. Hold the fake lash against your eye and carefully trim any excess from the outer edge with small scissors.

3. Curl your natural lashes: To create a smooth base, curl your natural eyelashes using an eyelash curler. This will also help blend them seamlessly with the false lashes.

4. Apply mascara: Adding a light coat of mascara will give more grip to the false eyelashes while also helping them blend with your natural lashes.

5. Apply lash glue: Put a thin layer of lash adhesive along the base of the false lash strip. Let it dry for about 30 seconds, or until it becomes tacky, as this will help it stick better.

6. Attach the lashes: Using tweezers or your fingers, carefully place the false lash as close to your natural lash line as possible, starting at the inner corner and working outward. Press down gently and adjust as needed to ensure proper placement and adhesion.

7. Secure ends and blend: Once in place, gently press down on both ends of the false eyelash strip to secure them in place. You can also use a clean mascara wand or brush to blend the false and natural eyelashes together for a seamless finish.

8. Clean up and touch-up: If necessary, use a cotton swab dipped in makeup remover to remove any excess glue residue around the eyes. Finish off by applying eyeliner along the upper lash line to hide the false lash band and complete your eye makeup.

With practice and patience, applying false eyelashes can become a manageable and stunning addition to your beauty routine. Experiment with different styles, lengths, and thicknesses to find the perfect fit for your eyes, and enjoy the glamorous look they provide.
