How to Save Passwords in Chrome for iOS
If you are using an iPhone or iPad and the Google Chrome browser, then it might be helpful to save passwords so that you can log in to websites quickly and easily. Saving passwords in Chrome for iOS is easy and can be done in just a few steps.
Step 1: Open Chrome and Go to Settings
To begin, open the Chrome app on your iOS device. Tap on the three dots in the bottom right corner of the screen to access the Settings menu.
Step 2: Tap on “Passwords”
From the Settings menu, tap on “Passwords” to access your saved passwords.
Step 3: Turn on “Save Passwords”
By default, Chrome does not save passwords. To enable password saving, tap on the toggle switch next to “Save Passwords.” You will be prompted to confirm that you want to turn on this feature.
Step 4: Log in to a Website and Save the Password
Once password saving is enabled, you can log in to a website and save the password. When you enter your login credentials, Chrome will ask if you want to save the password.
Step 5: View Your Saved Passwords
To view your saved passwords, go back to the Passwords menu in Chrome’s Settings. You will see a list of saved passwords, organized alphabetically by website.
Step 6: Manage Your Passwords
From the Passwords menu, you can manage your saved passwords. You can delete passwords by swiping left on the website name and tapping “Delete.” You can also edit a saved password by tapping on the website name, then tapping on the password field to make changes.
Step 7: Use Face ID or Touch ID to Access Your Passwords
For added security, Chrome for iOS allows you to use Face ID or Touch ID to access your saved passwords. To enable this feature, go to the Privacy menu in Chrome’s Settings and turn on “Use Face ID / Touch ID for Passwords.” You will be prompted to authenticate your identity with Face ID or Touch ID.
